Tips to refresh your Bedroom

Bedrooms should be our sanctuary. Kick off heels at the end of the day or when kids are tucked up in bed. We store our clothes, personal belongings there so it should reflect our personality.
Bright and bold, simple and serene or a contemporary cocoon. Paint your walls for a cost effective makeover although personally I feel Wallpaper brings a warmth to a room adding pattern or texture.
Another quick though dramatic change is to move existing furniture if possible to ring the changes or swap lamps from another room. Introduce new bed linen and make your bed the focal point in the room. Layer up neutrals or mix with bold patterns. Throws and cushions elevate that touch of luxury. .

Brought the room together

Having lived with an awkward L shaped kitchen diner for more years than I care to remember, I stumbled upon Anne and Joanne at Gilding the Lily Interiors who changed my mind about moving ! They came along to my home, brought along some fabric and wallpaper book suggestions, I don’t know how but my room now looks “as one”.  I can finally work in this area and be able to enjoy the space.  They brought mix matched windows which were at differing heights together by disguising the height difference by using padded pelmets over roman blinds in the kitchen and eyelet curtains on a modern gloss pole over the patio doors, the curtains can be pushed right back making the most of the view onto the garden.  I will be having them over again when we are redesigning the lounge.  Thanks girls !

Mrs. Morrison,

Great fun – great price

My husband and I are in our late 70s and wanted to give our home a more updated look but I was unsure how to begin.  Anne and Joanne made us most welcome, took care to listen to our needs, invited us back to the showroom where they showed us some schemes which, right from the outset we knew were just perfect for us.  They read us perfectly, updated our look but still kept it warm and homely.   Gilding the Lily Interiors have brought a new lease of life to our home and ourselves !
